What you can expect We are looking for an experienced Platform Architect to design and drive future-oriented platform architectures. In this role, you will take full ownership of technical solution design, working closely with Software and Enterprise Architects to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing platform ecosystems aligned with the organization’s long-term strategy.
As part of our team, you will take on the following responsibilities: You design, build, and operate modern cloud services based on container, PaaS, and SaaS technologies.You work daily with Azure Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Kafka, the Grafana stack, Instana, ArgoCD, and cloud‑native Postgres databases.You integrate new technologies into the DKV cloud environment and ensure their seamless functional operation.You develop additional software and integration components using agile methods and create clear technical requirements.You ensure a stable, scalable, and secure operation of our cloud infrastructure – including monitoring and recovery in case of failures.You support and train the development teams, optimize existing solutions, and continuously evaluate new technologies.
As part of our team, you will take on the following responsibilities: You manage, monitor and continuously develop service and performance relationships with external partners and service providers in a cloud environment.You gather, assess and translate business requirements from internal departments into sustainable and scalable cloud services.You continuously optimize existing services and service level agreements, balancing quality, performance and cost efficiency.You support the definition, sourcing and implementation of new service offerings and actively contribute to the selection of suitable service providers.You evaluate new technologies and alternative solutions and provide well‑founded recommendations to meet current and future business requirements.You plan, coordinate and deliver IT and cloud projects end‑to‑end, from conception and implementation through testing, rollout and transition into operations.You perform economic evaluations of cloud and infrastructure costs and actively drive cost optimization initiatives in line with FinOps principles.You design and implement measures to increase efficiency, for example through automation and the use of AI‑based solutions. What makes you stand out You have several years of experience in service or delivery management and in managing external partners, ideally within a Microsoft Cloud, Azure and M365 environment.You bring strong expertise in cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, M365, as well as hybrid and multi‑cloud architectures.You have a solid understanding of FinOps, cost optimization and license management across the entire service and product lifecycle.You have hands‑on experience in implementing, operating and continuously improving cloud and platform services.You are experienced in incident, problem, change and escalation management and handle complex situations in a structured manner.You convince through strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills when interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.You demonstrate quick comprehension, analytical thinking and a strong solution‑oriented mindset.You work independently and goal‑oriented and bring a high level of communication skills and consulting competence.
In addition, you operate and optimize observability solutions for Azure resources, Kafka, and integration applications, create dashboards following best practices, and implement alerting as well as automated remediation mechanisms. You design and implement operational concepts for Azure resources, Confluent Cloud, and integration projects and consistently apply Infrastructure‑as‑Code, for example using Terraform.
